Stand Up and Make MLK Proud–Of Our Health

To me, all of January, and not just one day (how about year-round) is a:

♦ Time to pay tribute/respect to Martin Luther King Jr (MLK); 
♦ Apply and live up to his teachings, and 
♦ Be like him and the example he set.   

That is what this article is all about accomplishing in the area of health for two huge, crucial reasons.

1 COVID and its variants are still around and causing sickness and death.  Yes, vaccines, boosters, face coverings,  social distancing and avoiding crowds are needed.  But ultimately our best defense and protection lies with our health and having a strong, powerful, built-up immune system.

2 The lousy, dreadful state/condition our health; wellness is in from other serious diseases like cancer, heart attack, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and dementia that are killing us, shortening lives or making it unpleasant to live. See 1 maxfulfillment.kinsta.cloud/healthpurpose/

So WHAT MLK TEACHINGS SPEAK OR APPLY TO 1 AND 2 ABOVE?

Two of the most important and meaningful are:

“A man dies when he refuses to stand up for that which is right. ……….. A man dies when he refuses to take a stand for that which is true”.

So we, you and I need to stand up and do what is right and needed for defending and protecting ourselves against COVID and its variants; other serious diseases, and help take care of the lousy, dreadful state/condition our health is in.

“Not environment; not heredity; but personal response is the final determining factor in our lives. And herein lies our area of responsibility”.

“Ultimately individual responsibility lies not in the external situation but in the internal response”.

For our health; wellness, that means us, you and I stepping up and taking personal responsibility and care for them.  To take it seriously, and change, strengthen/improve our health; wellness on a regular, consistent basis and not be in lousy shape or poor health.

So, WHAT CAN WE, YOU AND I DO FOR OUR HEALTH THAT APPLIES AND LIVES UP TO  THOSE MLK TEACHINGS?

A There is just way too much loss of health and wellness; disability and death from COVID and its variants, and other serious diseases like cancer, heart attack, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and dementia. 

B So we, all of us need to; must be continuously changing, strengthening or improving our health, and make that part of our social and civic responsibility like we vote, go to work, pay our bills, help family and friends. 

Not taking responsibility and care for our health; being unhealthy/in poor health is no longer possible or an option. It could be thought of as being selfish and inconsiderate.   See maxfulfillment.kinsta.cloud/healthnewnorm/

2 Help start or participate in a Health Ministry, Community Service.  See maxfulfillment.kinsta.cloud/healthministry/   

A The Church needs to step up, take responsibility and do their part/fair share in the defense and protection against COVID and its variants, and other serious diseases, and help take care of the lousy, dreadful state/condition our health is in.  

B Church members need to set an example and be role models for personal healthcare, and follow Christian, Biblical direction regarding health.

3 What else can we do for our health that applies and lives up to MLK teachings?

Don’t wait to take action, and not miss out on what you can do for your health and wellness that applies and lives up to MLK teachings.  Take responsibility; stand up and do what’s right for your health and wellness, such as having a strong, powerful, well-built immune system. 

That is the ultimate defense and protection against COVID and its variants, and other serious diseases, and helps take care of the lousy, dreadful state/condition our health is in (1 and 2 above).  ___________________________________
